About Zalion
Zalion builds AI agents that automate enterprise procurement — from RFQs to quote negotiations to intake orchestration. 35+ enterprise customers including Mercedes-Benz, Beiersdorf, and Motherson already trust our platform. We're scaling fast across Europe, preparing for US expansion, and looking for the person who makes our AI agents work reliably inside the enterprise systems that actually run these companies.
The Role
We're looking for someone who sees a signed integration spec as a starting point, not a deliverable.
You own how Zalion connects to the outside world. That means customer ERP integrations end to end, from the first technical discovery call through to stable production. It also means owning Zalion's connections to external data providers and third party systems that make our AI agents smarter. Your mandate: design, lead, and deliver production-grade integrations that make AI agents work reliably inside enterprise environments and with the best available data.
This is a senior ownership role. You are the main counterpart for customers when it comes to integrating Zalion with their existing enterprise software landscape. You partner with Sales and Customer Success to assess feasibility and set expectations. You are not measured on quota. You are measured on integration outcomes and customer go-lives.
But this role goes beyond project delivery. You will build the integration function at Zalion: define standard mappings, create reusable playbooks, establish repeatable processes, and shape the product roadmap for integrations together with engineering. You start hands-on and over time, you build a team to scale what you've created.
What You'll Own
- End to end integration delivery: From technical discovery and solution design, through effort estimation and configuration, to go-live in production. You take responsibility for integrations working reliably in real customer environments
- Integration architecture: Run discovery with customer IT teams covering requirements, data flows, environments, constraints, identity, and security. Design the right integration approach for each customer context (REST APIs, workflow orchestration via n8n, file-based exchange via SFTP)
- ERP integration depth: Own the integration layer for SAP environments (S/4HANA, Business One, R/3) and other major ERP systems. Build deep expertise in how Zalion connects to the systems that run enterprise procurement
- Third party data connections: Own the integrations with external data providers and third party systems that feed into Zalion's platform. You define how we connect, what data flows in, and how it enriches our AI agents
- Productizing integrations: Recognize patterns across customer and third party integrations, define which connectors, APIs, and protocols (including MCP) become standard product capabilities, and brief engineering on what needs to be built. You shape Zalion's integration roadmap and drive the path from custom project to repeatable product feature
- Building the integration function: Define standard data mappings, create integration playbooks and documentation, establish repeatable processes. Turn one-off projects into a scalable capability
- Internal coordination: Work closely with engineering on delivery, with product on roadmap, and with Customer Success on onboarding timelines. You are the integration hub internally
- Scoping and estimation: Create effort and cost estimations for non-standard integration setups to support Sales in the pricing process
- Support ownership (early stage): Own integration support and incident response until integrations are stable and documented enough for handover to a dedicated support role
What You Won't Do
- Write core platform code. Engineering builds and maintains Zalion's integration platform and connectors. You configure, deploy, and drive integrations to production readiness
- Run customer success. Onboarding, adoption, and account management are owned by Customer Success. You ensure the technical integration is solid so they can do their job
