Zalion is building the operating system for autonomous procurement. We are moving beyond "Chat with PDF" to build agentic AI that operates deep within the enterprise, negotiating via email, navigating legacy ERPs, and managing complex Source to Pay workflows.
We are looking for a Senior Product Engineer who is tired of standard CRUD apps and wants to engineer the cognitive architecture of autonomous workers.
We do not hire ticket takers. At Zalion, a Product Engineer owns the vertical slice of value. You care as much about why the agent failed a negotiation as you do about the Python exception that caused it. You work directly with founders and customers to translate messy human intent into structured agent action.
The Brain
You will design and evolve robust agent workflows (using Python, FastAPI, LangGraph) that handle complex reasoning loops, memory persistence, and tool calling.
The Nervous System
You will build the integration layer that connects our agents to the chaotic real world (unstructured emails, SAP and Oracle APIs, supplier portals).
The Interface
You will ship high quality, responsive frontends (Next.js and React) that visualize agent thinking and allow humans to intervene when necessary.
The Infrastructure
You will own the pipeline from local prototype to production reliability, ensuring our agents are observable and debuggable via Sentry, Grafana, and LangSmith.
